Vaive and Associates is a local CPA firm in Ottawa with 3 partners and a staff of 15 that specializes in providing assurance, accounting, tax, and business advisory services to owner managed enterprises. We have an unwavering commitment to our clients and our team. We use the latest technology and offer extensive training. Our goal is to empower our people with the tools that they need to succeed. As a small firm, there is nowhere to hide with us. We all chip in to make sure the job gets done.
As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include:
Prepare year-end financial statements and corporate tax returns for Review Engagements and Compilations (Notice to Reader) including related year-end adjustments
Assist as a team member on larger corporate assurance engagements (audits and reviews)
Preparation of personal income tax returns
Assistance with other special projects as they arise
As the successful candidate, you will be a true team player, and MUST have the following:
Working towards your CPA designation, or have your designation with 3-5 years’ experience
Lifelong commitment to learning
Knowledge of Caseware, CCH Taxprep Suite of Products and Microsoft Office
Excellent client service skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-motivation
Client focus
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
